Bethel Public Library is located at the heart of scenic downtown Bethel, CT at 189 Greenwood Avenue. The Library has grown since its founding in 1909 from a small, single-room book lending library to two stories, 28,600 square feet, and several services beyond books. In addition to lending books, music, movies and digital materials, the Library also provides:
- Several online databases
- Newspapers and magazines
- Language learning tools
- Programs such as story times, crafts, movie nights, and guest speakers
- Computer access and Wi-Fi
- Computer classes and device advice
- Art galleries and display cases
Art exhibit spaces generally are accessible during the Library’s hours: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, 10-8; Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, 10-5; and on Sundays 1-5 (September to June).
The Bethel Public Library is one of a select group of member libraries of Fairfield County Art Spaces.
